GETTING STARTED WITH US

Our yoga and fitness classes are ideal for professional or pre-professional level dancers who need to remain in peak condition physically while also caring for their bodies and addressing their own mental health needs. We've created this partnership because we've heard feedback from dancers about the importance of cross-training, and some of the company dancers are already enjoying our classes!

In particular, we can recommend the following options based on your needs and interests:

  • Our Original Hot Yoga classes offer a full-body experience that encourages better connection between your mind, breath, and body. Class focuses on overall strength, flexibility, and balance, with a particular emphasis on the movements of the spine. Class is done in a heated room which increases the intensity and allows the body to warm up more easily. This is a focused and meditative practice.
  • Our Core Fire Conditioning classes are excellent for those who'd like to focus on strength and stamina! Classes are based on Pilates moves and high intensity interval training (HIIT) principles. We offer this class in several formats, including our "plus" classes which use resistance bands and weights for extra strength training. This is an upbeat and high energy class set to music!
  • Our various Non-Heated Yoga Classes done in our 1st floor studio are perfect for those who are focused on relaxation, rest, and recovery. Some classes such as our Slow Burn or Friday Flow use gentle flowing movements, while other classes such as Yin Yoga focus on meditation and stillness. These classes will help you ease tension in both your body and your mind.

CHECKLIST FOR YOUR FIRST CLASS:

Grab your gear

Please bring a yoga mat and water bottle! For heated classes, we also recommend bringing a large towel that you can place over your yoga mat. 

Arrive on time

First time at a new place? Give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes! Be ON your mat at the start of class. Silence all electronics so you can focus on yourself.

Be ready to sweat.

Wear lightweight clothes that let you move and stretch comfortably, and come to class well hydrated. Our rule of thumb is no heavy meals for 2-3 hours before class.

Enjoy yourself!

Don't worry about doing everything perfectly on your first day! Every class is a new experience. Breathe, have fun, and come back tomorrow!
