Vermont Yin Yoga Retreat

with Rhode Island Hot Yoga | October 24th - 27th, 2024

Take time to slow down and enjoy Autumn in New England with a long weekend of yoga and outdoor activities at Good Commons retreat center in Vermont. October is the perfect time to relax, reflect, and appreciate the changing seasons. All levels are welcome!

Take a break from your busy routine and recharge with us this Fall! We are delighted to host our second studio trip to Vermont at Good Commons in Plymouth, VT. This center is a popular yoga destination known for its farm-to-table food, its welcoming hosts, and its proximity to Vermont’s hiking trails and other attractions.

During this trip, we will focus on Yin Yoga classes and workshops. Yin Yoga is a calming, deeply meditative style of yoga which is done without heat. In addition to our daily Yin Yoga classes, we may offer other classes such as vinyasa yoga or hot yoga depending on the desires & requests of our retreat participants.

We will relax and slow down in the yoga room, nourish ourselves with delicious local food, and spend plenty of time enjoying the fresh air of the Green Mountains!

Retreat Activities

FOOD & DRINK: Calling all cheese lovers - there is an artisan cheese shop right up the street from the retreat center! Vermont is also home to many breweries and mico-breweries, farmers markets, and fine dining establishments. (Simon Pearce comes highly recommended!)

HIKING: Enjoy the great outdoors! Vermont offers plenty of hiking options for all experience levels. You can take a short walk to admire natural waterfalls nearby, or choose a more rigorous hike on the Appalachian Trail or up one of several ski mountains nearby - we're between Okemo and Killington.

SCENERY: Late October is a great time to take in the Vermont scenery. Many of our guests enjoy taking a scenic drive to Quechee Gorge, the Vermont Country Store, or some of Vermont's covered bridges. Enjoy the mountains!

RELAXATION: Need to unwind? Spend as much time relaxing at the peaceful Retreat Center as you like. In the evenings we'll light a campfire and sit outside, maybe sing some songs if we're in the mood. There is also an outdoor hot tub  to enjoy!

Retreat Teaching Staff

Juliana Olmstead

Juliana is the owner and founder of Rhode Island Hot Yoga. She has been teaching yoga since 2010 and leading yoga retreats since 2017. Outside of the yoga room, she loves hiking, gardening, music, and baking. In addition to teaching classes, you'll find her sneaking away to the King Arthur Baking shop and sampling ALL the cheese.

Honore teaches Yin Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, and Yoga for Hips & Back at Rhode Island Hot Yoga. She has completed her 200 hour YTT as well as Bernie Clark's 50 Hour Yin YTT. When she is outside of the studio she is lifting weights or running. She is excited to be participating in her second yoga retreat and to take in all the beautiful splendor that Fall offers from the Appalachian Trail.

Additional retreat staff and teachers TBA!
